Espaço Corpus Christi

O Espaço Corpus Christi corresponde ao núcleo monumental do antigo Convento com o mesmo nome, erigido no séc. XIV, inicialmente numa cota mais próxima do Rio Douro, onde era assolado pelas frequentes cheias. O atual conjunto arquitetónico foi levantado no séc. XVII.

A antiga capela, de planta octogonal e abóbada, ou o coro-alto, com o seu cadeiral e teto em caixotões, passaram de espaço de culto a espaço de cultura, servindo de cenário a diversas atividades, nomeadamente, exposições de artes plásticas e espetáculos musicais.
